Applications & Forms
Applicants for permits need to pay applicable fees at the time of application online or to the Planning and Building Department, located on the main floor of City Hall. The permit counter hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please call in advance for an appointment to speak to planning and permitting staff. Payments can be made by cash, check, or debit/credit card (3% fee added).
Printed versions of these forms can be obtained at City Hall. Builders and developers of larger scale projects should contact the Planning and Building Department before applying for a permit.
All building permits, regardless of size or scope of the project, have a typical review time of 8 weeks. Mechanical, plumbing, and side sewer permits are issued over-the-counter. The City of Lake Forest Park does not issue electrical permits; apply for electrical permits and request inspections at the Washington State Labor and Industries website.
*As of January 1, 2015, per Resolution 1445, a 5% Development Review Technology Surcharge will be added to all permit fees*
