What's Happening in Lake Forest Park in July

LFP Reads

Sudden CountryFor the 5th year, Lake Forest Park Library Committee in conjunction with Friends of the Lake Forest Park Library, Third Place Books has a community reads program.  This year the LFP Reads selection is A Sudden Country.  This award winning book explores the journey across the country at the height of Oregon Fever in 1847.

Read the book in June and July and then come to the community activities listed below.  A Sudden Country will be 20 percent off during June, July and August at Third Place Books.

 

Farmers Market July events

Back to School Consortium

Back to school consortium The annual Shoreline Back-To-School event provides school supplies, hair cuts, and clothing assistance to Shoreline School District families with a low income and/or circumstances that make it challenging to adequately prepare their children for school.
 
Families can register for the event on line at www.btsconsortium.org or by calling the BTS Info Line at 206-393-4916.

Get Ready for Night Out Against Crime

Night Out Against Crime, Tuesday, August 4 Be part of Lake Forest Park’s National Night Out.  Our annual event strengthens neighborhoods through police-community partnerships. Every year block watch organizations, neighborhood groups, and neighbors get together and have a good time, share food and fun, and get reacquainted with friends and neighbors.


If you want to participate in National Night Out, you need to register your event. Please contact  Lake Forest Park Police department at  364-8216, to register, or if you want to arrange for a police officer to stop by your block party to visit with you and your neighbors, and to discuss Crime Prevention tips.
