Hours for School Zones Enforcement

Starting on Monday, May 18, the Police Department will begin issuing warnings for vehicles traveling above the posted speed limit in school zones. Cameras will take photos of the license of vehicles, these violations will be reviewed by an officer and a warning notice will be mailed to the vehicle owner. The cameras are in operation from 7 am to 4:30 pm when school is open.

In June, vehicles traveling above the speed limit in school zones will be given a traffic ticket. Fines in school zones are double and cannot be reduced in court.
