What’s Happening in Lake Forest Park…


Ivy Out  Saturday, February 14, 2009 9 an to 12 noon

Lake Forest Park Stewardship Foundation is sponsoring an Ivy Out day at Grace Cole Nature Park
  
To find Grace Cole Park, go south on 28th Ave. NE at 178th Street until you
come to the park (about 1/2 mile).  Wear gloves, long sleeves, bring your favorite shovels, nippers,
pruners, adzes or other tools.
Snacks and water (Please bring refillable bottle)

League of Women Voters: Lake Forest Park

Wednesday, February 18 10 a.m. - 12 noon
The Lake Forest Park League of Women Voters is having an organizational meeting at the Third Place Book Commons meeting room. The mission of the League of Women Voters is to promote good government by studying and acting on issues. The meeting is open to anyone interested in participating.

The Second Annual Lake Forest Park Home-Based Business Fair, Saturday, March 14, 2009
 
Do you know the hidden, yet vast resources available to you in Lake Forest Park? There are about 250 Home-Based Businesses in our city. Your neighbors are providing a wide range of goods and services to our community. Our city is rich with resources and opportunities.
 
The Lake Forest Park Economic Development Commission will sponsor the Second Annual Lake Forest Park Home-Based Business Fair on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Third Place Books Commons. The fair is FREE!

Annual Good Neighbor Awards Nominations Being Accepted


Do you know an adult or youth who either lives or works in Lake Forest Park (city employees and elected officials excluded) who deserves to be recognized for making a difference in our community?  Nomination forms are available on the city website or at city hall.  Deadline for submission is March 26, 2009. An award ceremony will be at city hall in April 23. The awards are sponsored by the Community Services Commission.
