67 recycled content plastic bollards were placed at Horizon View Park at 47th Ave NE, thanks to a grant from King County Solid Waste, Waste Reduction and Recycling Funds.
The bollards were made from recycled plastic milk jugs composed of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). Using products made with recycled plastic lumber diverts plastic from the waste stream. Plastic lumber products generally last longer than wood products, creating an additional benefit. Here is a link for more information on recycled plastic lumber.
