Getting Information to You
The City’s newsletter, the TownCrier, is mailed to all residences in the City of Lake Forest Park. A PDF version can be downloaded by following a link from the News page.
Links to news items are also posted on the website’s front page and/or in the News section.
The City also emails information directly to the people who subscribe to the email service
CityMail. It works like an RSS feed, sending you email when new items relating to your interest are added to the City’s website. You can always subscribe to this service by clicking on the CityMail link in the left menu on the City’s home page or on the CityMail icon.
These are the current topics:
- Lake Forest Park Legacy: Ensuring that our parks, trails, natural drainage, gathering places, and natural spaces are there for future generations.
- City News: News releases and updates of general interest.
- Volunteer! Get Involved: How to get involved in city volunteer activities, commissions, local nonprofits, community service for high school students, and city park work days.
- Town Crier: Receive a link to the online version of the newsletter mailed to all city households monthly.
- Planning Department/ Comprehensive Plan: Updates on issues and legislation affecting the city's Comprehensive Plan, citywide zoning changes and land use action before the City Council.
- Community Policing: Communication from the Police Department to city residents.
- Jobs: New job openings at the city.
- City Council: City Council announcements, links to meeting agendas and minutes.
- Public Works/Engineering Bulletins: Updates on city infrastructure: roads, parks, drainage, and sanitary sewer systems. Engineering and capital improvement bulletins.
- Emergency Bulletins: Everyone who signs up for CityMail will be put on the emergency bulletin list as part of the city's emergency preparedness notification plan.
- All Lists: You also have the option to subscribe to all nine lists.
All subscribers will get emergency bulletins from CityMail as part of the City’s emergency response plan.
