Garbage Service has been cancelled Monday, December 22. All customers of Allied Waste can put out all of their garbage, recyclables and yard waste on the next regularly scheduled pick up day.
- Additional garbage should be placed in plastic bags and left next to the garbage cart.
- Additional recyclables should be placed in paper bags, cardboard boxes.
- Yard Waste should be placed in cardboard boxes, large leaf bags.
There will be a free bulky yard waste recycling event on January 3, 2009.

Court
- The Lake Forest Park Municipal Court is open December 22, 2008. Anyone with a case before the court should call court at 206-364-7711.
- The Court will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2008.
The Court office will be open on Friday, December 26, during regular business hours.
Passport office
- The passport office is closed Monday. Please call the passport office to check whether the office is open on Tuesday and Wednesday.

December 22, 2008 Update 1 pm
The City is advising those who must drive to use extreme caution. Some neighborhood roads may be hard to drive through. City crews worked all night, plowing and sanding and are continuing to do so. Those who must drive should follow priority arterials, watch for ice and compact snow, drive very cautiously and use traction devices, such as chains, cables and studded tires. Chains are advised for travel on most secondary and residential streets. Down and sagging wires
Tree branches are weighted down with snow. These can be a danger if they break electric or cable lines. All downed lines should be treated as live wire.
