August 31, 2010: The City is holding a public hearing for the update of the Shoreline Master Program. For more information please visit the SMP update page.


July 6, 2010: The City published two Notices of Public Hearing:

Variance (2010-17002) at 16116 Beach Dr NE to construct a deck and two paved walkways. Construction requires a variance from the impervious surface limits. Hearing is scheduled for July 20, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. Click here for more information.

Reasonable Use Exception (2010-13000) at 170XX 28th Ave NE to construct one single-family dwelling. Construction requires relief from Wetland and Steep Slope restrictions. June 23, 2010: The City published a Notice of Application:

SEPA Notice (2010-12000) The City proposes adopting updates to Chapter 16.14 of the Lake Forest Park Municipal Code which regulates tree protection and removal. Click here for more information.

November 24, 2009: The 2010 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Application has been added to the right hand arrow City Website. These applications must be received by Monday February 1, 2010 at 5:00PM.


August 18, 2009: Sensitive Area, Level II Tree Removal, and a Land Clearing and Grading Permit have been posted for public comment on the Burke Gilman Trail. A copy of the notice is available right hand arrow Click here.

February 2, 2009: The application period for Comprehensive Plan Amendments has ended. The City Council passed right hand arrow Resolution 1146 that states that the City will not update the Comprehensive Plan this year.


January 22, 2009: The consolidated public hearing for the Burke-Gilman Trail Redevelopment Project will be reconvened on Monday, January 26 at 6:00 PM. More information can be found online at the right hand arrow Burke-Gilman Trail webpage.
