The Finance Department provides financial services, financial reporting, and financial management for the City. The staff is composed of a Finance Director, three full-time accountants and one part-time accountant.


The department performs the following ongoing functions:

  • Accounts payable
  • Annual financial report preparation and audit coordination
  • Budget preparation and administration
  • Detailed reporting to council, administration, and staff
  • Investment and debt management
  • Payroll
  • Receipt posting
  • Utility billing
  • Business licensing and business taxes
